Just an Easy 10
To borrow a phrase from Pre, today was "just an easy 10".
5k out and back to Rozelle via Camperdown, Annandale and Leichhardt.
10.04 k in 46.10. (4.36 pace).
Someone commented on one of my previous posts that I must be fast if I considered that easy pace - not quite. The term easy is about how you feel not about pace - by easy I mean not pushing it - just let the pace of the run come to you - so depending on how I feel it may be 4.15 pace or 5 min pace and certainly not longer than an hour. I think an easy run is quite a different beast to a recovery run. Recoveries are s-l-o-w and usually because I am recovering from a race - they hurt a little bit i.e. general stiffness, muscle soreness etc. Easy runs never feel like that - you should feel like you could run forever when running easy - concentrating on good form. Hope that helps !!

That's a good tip 26miles - 'letting the pace of the run come to you' for an easy run. The only thing I would say is if you're feeling great, don't be tempted to turn an easy run into a hard one by pushing the pace later on. Save it for a 'hard run' day!
