Lunchtime run - 67 mins / 15k

Up early to get ground ready as Bella's team were playing first and at home.
Girls played o.k. but their A team was just a little bit more eager to win, and generally played better, lost 3-1.

Ran at 1.15pm today, a perfect late winters day, warm, slight breeze around the bay, lots of people picknicking, a few people running or walking.

Could of kept running but had to be home before Fiona headed out for her run. It would be nice to run together occasionally - perhaps when the kids are older. Today reminded me of a time before children when we would go to Centennial Park or Bronte/Coogee/Bondi and run or walk around there - boy was that a long time ago !

And that reminds me of a time 11 years ago when Bella was a baby and the three of us set off for a walk around Centennial Park, we were at the car fussing over Bella in the pram when a newly married Bob Hawke and Blanche D'alpuget were striding past looking fabulous, they came up to talk to the baby and of course Fiona and I were star struck, so much so that we walked off without locking the car. An hour later we returned and the boot was still up, and the rear door was wide open - luckily nothing was missing - boy, did we feel stupid !!!

Another big week - 100 k, making it 422k for July, will taper this week leading into Striders 10k on Saturday and C2S the following week, but the main goals are still Striders 10k @ North Head in September and Blackmore's half later that month.

Steve,

If Bella is 11, then you're well past half way to being able to run together again (and that's got to be the best part of running :-)
