.........and then a full one

Up early for Bella's soccer match at Strathfield then back for a picnic in Centennial Park at lunch.

Took my running gear and headed out for a run just after 4 pm.

Started off with a lap of the perimeter fence of Centennial park - haven't run around here for awhile but the drought is really having an affect - the path used to be a thin strip but is now quite wide and in some places sandy like a beach, still, good to get the first 7k or so in on a soft surface. I love the bit from the gates at Oxford St all down hill to Lang Rd gates.

Headed from there back into the city along Anzac Pde and back into Oxford St, right past Hyde Park and St. Mary's and down around Mrs Macquaries chair thru the Botanic Gardens, past the Rocks and along Hickson Rd. Into Darling Harbour and Pyrmont and home via Wentworth Park and King St Newtown. Ran around the streets near home to make up 21.1k.

A perfect afternoon for running - cool and sunny - stopped at 16k to buy a drink as there are stuff all bubblers in the city. Covered 21.1k in 91 mins. Felt really strong and a solid training time on a hilly course.

Total 98k for the week and the niggles seem to be dissapearing - probably because I'm on hols and not sitting at a desk all day !

p.s. Late txt from Macca - Imogen finished London Marathon in 2.48 ! Fantastic effort !
