Bobbin Head Revisited - 32k - 2.28 (4.38 pace) week 8 of 15
Despite me often saying how I hardly ever run a STaR, today I did possibly the one that is furthest from home ! Nick Picked me up at 5.30 am from Newtown getting us to Wahroonga for the start in plenty of time. Went out with the 6.20 group at a steady pace making our way down to Mona Vale rd and back into Bobbin head rd. A few turned off at the gates into the park to do the 24k option and Fats took the bush option here and we never saw him again. Our little group of six kept a steady pace up and out of Bobbin head and back over the Freeway, thru some more tough hills at the back of the industrial estate there and finally back to the finish.
Nick had 2.32 on his watch (including 2 toilet stops of 2 mins each) but all other water stops included in the time. Thanks to Springer, J.J, Nick and others for a great run - I really enjoyed it, and at a good solid pace as well. Excellent run by all, working the big hill out of the Park especially.
Total for the week 122k
