week 2 of 6 - base
Monday (7pm) - 13.2k loop in 55.25 (4.12 pace) home-bay-home via Victoria rd and Glebe park. Solid run without pushing it. Much cooler than yesterday, still sweated heaps though.
Tuesday (7pm) - 4k w/u down to Glebe park. 8 x 1 min on/off round the waterfront path to Glebe high school and back. Covered 4k in 15 mins. 5k very easy jog home. Total 13k. It was very humid and windy tonight and I was saturated when I got home. Nice scenery but far too many dogs.
Wednesday (5.30pm) - 19k in 84.30 (4.26 pace) running from work to home via Gladesville Bridge and the Bay. Kept a good pace without really trying - overcast and cooler but a lot of humidity and a headwind for 15 of the 19k.
Thursday (7pm) - Ran from home to Stanmore to meet Nick and then across Parramatta rd and along Whites creek path down to Glebe Park for a bit over 5k warm-up. 5 x 3 min with a 1 min float around the waterfront on path and grass following a 5k route I had mapped out beforehand. Good effort tonight covering the 5k in 19 mins in humid conditions and over a slightly challenging course that ducked and weaved and even had a tough little hill. A slow jog home afterwards. Friday (7.30am) - 9k bay and dog park loop with the boys - 41 mins (4.35 pace) picked it up a bit for the last 3k with Abel.
Saturday (6am) - 11k Coogee to Bondi and return with a 2 min negative split. Plebty of hills ans stairs.
Sunday (6.20 am) - Middle harbour Picnic STaR - took the shortcut option and got a bit lost running by myself. Covered about 26k in under 2hrs. Plenty of hills, nice views and even a good piece of trail running as well. Pulled up really well and starting to feel pretty fit again.
Total 105k for the week.
