week 6 of 12 (Ending 08.04.07)

Monday - usual 13.2k route in 57.40 (4.22 pace)

Tuesday - 3 x 1k @ 3.30 pace off 90 sec recovery then 6 x 300m hill reps, 300 jog recovery at Sydney Park. 4k w/u & 4k c/d = total 14k.

Wednesday - usual 17k run home from work via Harbour Bridge sneaking in just under 73 mins. (4.17 pace). Pulled up with a tight calf and hamstring in the left leg, probably from compensating for the bruised toe on the right foot.

Thursday - 5 x 630m loop around the lake in Sydney Park with a 1 min recovery. Reps went 2.15, 2.10, 2.09, 2.08 & 2.03 - hard work into a stiff southerly. 4k w/u & 4k c/d = 11k total. Leg felt o.k during the session but on the run home it stiffened up and I had to walk.

Friday - no run - left knee, ITB/ upper calf are quite stiff.

Saturday - was going to run Striders 10k this morning but decided to rest instead. Leg still quite stiff but not sore - hopefully stretching, icing and NSAIDS will see knee come good.
Leg felt good this afternoon so got out for a quickish 10.25k in 42.15 (4.07 pace).

Sunday - leg feeling better - easy 15k in 67 mins (4.28 pace)

Total 80k for the week.
