Easy Monday, Tough Tuesday

Monday night helped Freespirit with 3k time trial at runclub. Quite a large group - good to see numbers on the increase again - ran an easy 5k. Usually run from home or before but no time tonight - bugger.

Tuesday
Ran from work to home for 45 mins covering 11.18 k's on the garmin. Bang on 4 min k's.
A good solid tempo run. Only caught traffic lights at Darling Harbour/ Pyrmont and again at Broadway/City Road.
Usually the week of a race I like to do a 3k time trial or a race pace session (i.e 4k @ 10k pace etc) on Tuesday but Fiona was going out tonight and I had to be home early to mind the kids hence running home from work.
Stopped at local oval on way home for a small speed session.
Decided to swap Tuesday's & Thursday's session around so did 12 x 30 secs with 30 secs standing recovery, covered 1.98k in 6 minutes = 3.01 mins/k .

Jog home from oval for a total today of 14 k approx.

Thursday night we are doing another time trial for those that missed Monday - my best time of the year was 10.04 in January on the old course and 10.26 on the new course - hopefully I can go close to that again.

Striders 10k on Saturday and am looking to go close to or under 38 mins - I just have to go easy up to the turnaround and really go for it on the way back. Long strides downhill - must let gravity help me and concentrate !!!
