Monday & Tuesday Recoveries

Forgot to mention that after SMH half on Sunday had to rush off to get to Bella's soccer match.
It was unseasonably warm (about 25 deg) and the girls were lethargic but hung on for a dertermined 2-1 win and keeps them in third place. Hopefully good weather this week means training is on - must get home on time afterwards to meet up with some mates to watch state of origin tomorrow night at the pub.

Running wise, I helped Freespirit out at Run Club last night - about 20 starters. Poor buggers did Lilyfield road hill repeats - I just had to yell encouragement, keep an eye on oncoming traffic and put out the witches hats. For me, 4.5k jog there, 1.5k jog to lilyfield road and back = 7.5 very easy k's.

The group tonight was quite keen with a smattering of new people but mainly regulars.
Most in the group have never done any speed or strength work before and are now starting to make rapid gains - plenty of good results from the SMH half especially from the first timers.
I think there was about 7 of us all up - everyone had a p.b or was a first timer - how good is that ?

Tuesday

done nuthin' ! Had a rest - felt good yesterday but lethargic today - body reminding me I am 42 years old. Will run a.m. tomorrow for an hour of easy running as I have the day off work to watch Bella run at x-country.
