Striders 10k - Homebush

38.12 p.b by 10 secs.

Last 4 striders races have been 39.24 @ Domain, 39.19 @ Nth Head, 38.22 @ Lane Cove and 38.12 @ Homebush - on a bit of a streak at the moment.

First time at homebush - not a bad course - I liked the footpath bits out along the creek but 3 times around the 1k wentworth common was pretty ordinary - very muddy and slippery.
Nice even splits 19.09 first 5k, 19.03 second 5k. According to wava age adjusted times 38.12 (age 42) is equal to 36.37 at age 30 - not bad !

Had a very ordinary nights sleep - didn't go to bed till 11.30 and got up at 5.00. Had a coffee and felt much better. Jogged to Victoria Rd for a lift from Craig and then we had a warm-up jog at Homebush as well which ended up totalling 6.25k + 2.25k jog home = 18.5k for the day.

Craig had a sensational run - 36.28, he is on fire ! Sean Williams squad seems to be working well for him. As always, it's a pleasure to catch up with the usual suspects.

Got a few races later this month, Bay run, Striders @ Lane Cove, Woodstock and C2S. Would like to do Sutherland 2 surf but won't be around.
