Training with the Waratahs

Tonight I ran from home to Sydney Uni to do a session but when I arrived the NSW Waratahs were in the middle of a training session - fortunately I could still use the outside of the oval as they were doing 40m time trials (you know, video cameras, speed analysis machines and all that stuff). These guys seemed much fitter than their rugby league counterparts we witnessed training a few weeks ago.

Anyways, I did a 3k warm-up in 13.44. Then 600m of strides, drills etc.
Session tonight was 5 x 800m with a 2min recovery between then 5 x 200m with a 1 minute recovery.
Reps were as follows :-
1. 2.36
2. 2.36
3. 2.40
4. 2.35
5. 2.42
Total 4k in 13.11

3 min rest then,

1. 33 secs
2. 33 secs
3. 30 secs
4. 35 secs
5. 34 secs.

Total 1k in 2.46.

3k jog home in 14.27.

Total 12k.
