Weekend wrap-up

Saturday morning got in a very easy 40 mins jog around my usual 8k loop - had to jog around a bit at the end to make up the 40 mins covering 8.5k. Went to Coogee for a swim and fish & chips with the girls in the afternoon/evening before the change hit.

I've mentioned before about struggling with the long run - most likely because I've been running it too fast - it's o.k to run sub 4.30 pace for 90-100 minutes but after that my feet really start to burn and I begin to feel every painful step - so decided to run at a slightly slower pace today. Result was much better, no slowing down and feet feel much better. Got thru 2h.15 for 28.5k, thanks Vic for running with me today. So many Coolrunners, Runclubbers and Striders out around the Bay today as well - not bad considering SMC was on today as well. When I was about 1500m from home Silverfox gave me a honk as he drove past - get well soon fella, I need a local running buddy !

Total for the weekend was 37k and the week 104k. Feel pretty good, a few niggles but nothing serious.
Upcoming race for those who have asked are 4/8k on Australia Day and Striders 10k on 5th Feb.

Only doing the 4k - Vatman kindly transferred his entry as he can't make it. Just replacing my session for the day with a race instead - should be fun - c u there !
