what a difference a day makes - 26k in 2.02 (4.42 pace)
Yesterday was spent inside avoiding all outdoor activities as the temperature hovered around 44-45 degrees celsius - Sydney's 2nd hottest day on record. We waited until 6.00pm before finally venturing out to the beach - it was quite surreal seeing so many people still swimming at 9.00 pm. The southerly finally hit a bit later and by the time we got home it had cooled right down making for a good nights sleep.
It was pleasant waking up this morning to the sound of rain - and I was keen to get in a long run, not having run for 2 days. Headed out from home and down to The Bay for 2 laps and return covering 26k in just over 2hrs - humid but cool and the occasional shower made for a very enjoyable run.
