Week 6 of 15 - a refereeing recovery and a tempo hitout
Got roped into refereeing football this morning - I'd forgotten how much fun it is. Probably ran about 6k in 50 mins maybe more, I'll wear the garmin next time. A bit like a fartlek session, alternating sprinting, jogging and walking - got a good sweat up anyway.
This afternoon got out for a solid paced run around the Bay. 2 laps (14K) in 58.10, first lap a very solid 7k in 27.18 and then an easier jogged recovery in 30.52.
120k for the week.
On Vat's suggestion, I think I'll give sutho2surf a miss - don't really need an 11k quad smashing run at this point in the prep better to continue with another solid endurance run - maybe 35-36k next week.
