Last of the Long (long) runs - 33.6k in 2h35

Woke up feeling lethargic but knowing this run had to be done - was going to run the STaR but Nick wasn't able to run it and I couldn't be bothered getting up early to get there. Running long by yourself is difficult - no one to talk to, no one to judge your pace off and no one else telling me I'm running strong, well etc etc. I could have run round the Bay, but wanted to do a quality hilly run.
I left home just after 7.00am to Woolwich Pier via Gladesville Bridge and return via the Bay run. 75.30 out and 76.30 back. Happy to run fairly even splits considering it's a little more uphill on the return trip and didn't drop the intensity at all. Surprisingly covered 33k in 2h32 - ran around the block to make up another 3 mins to get 2h35 at 4.36 pace.

End of week 12 - covered 130k for the week - BIGGEST WEEK EVER.
3 weeks to go now and the taper starts. Gotta watch what I eat and not overdo the hard efforts. This week is pretty much the same as the last few but starting to reduce the mileage by 20 % this week going into Striders 10k Race Saturday and only 2hrs long next Sunday.

Nice run Steve. Good hard last long run should have you ready for a cracker at Sydney. Good luck at North Head on Saturday as well.
