2 weeks to go

Monday (-13)
Got out for a very easy 8k at 4.30 pace (36 mins)

Tuesday (-12)
Ran home from work via Harbour Bridge - 10.25k tempo in 40.40 (3.57 pace)
Much faster 2nd half - felt strong.

Wednesday (-11)
Ran from work to home via Gladesville bridge and Callan Park. Bumped into Vat on Pacific hwy.
16.5k steady in 71 mins (4.18 pace) got home just before it rained.

Thursday (-10)
3k w/u to Petersham oval + 3 laps of oval.
5 x 3 mins with 90 sec recovery. VO2max maintenance session.
3k c/d + 3 laps of oval.

Total 12k ~


Friday (-9)
Rest - no running

Saturday (-8)
18k - just under 79 mins - got out for a lap of the Bay just after lunch - managed to avoid the rain. Felt very fresh but achilles a bit sore after running.

Sunday (-7)
13.15k down to the Bay and return via Victoria rd in 56.44 (4.18 pace) - didn't head out until 3.30pm when the rain eased for awhile - managed to not get wet. Tried out a new pair of shoes (Brooks Burn2) might wear them in the race - felt good but a little stiff - maybe stick with the asics DS racers if I can't run them in, in time or if it's wet.

Total for the week 78k (40 % reduction of maximum week).

Next week should see a 60 % reduction - so about 50k or so of very easy running.
