week 6/16 - week ending 15/07/07
Monday - 14.5k run home from work via the Harbour Bridge, Pyrmont and Glebe Foreshore park in 65 mins (4.29 pace). Managed to stay dry until Darling Harbour then it started to rain heavily and quite cold too - couldn't wait to get home !
Tuesday - 3k w/u down to Glebe park. Did 4 x 6 mins @ 10k pace with a 1 min float around the footpaths covering more than 7k in 27 mins. Happy with the effort. 3k jog home.
Wednesday - 19k run home from work via Gladesville Bridge and the Bay run in 85 mins (4.28 pace).
Thursday - 4.5k w/u (20 mins) down to CR5 marker. 12 x 1 min on/off turning at the 3k marker and back for 6k in 23.01 - top effort if I do say so myself ! 4.5k long c/d jog home for 15k total. Had the day off today and tomorow as well which means I can run in the afternoon before it gets dark.
Friday - 13.2k in 57 mins (4.20 pace) probably a bit fast but felt pretty good running in the late afternoon sunshine.
Saturday - 30.5k in 2h 23 (4.40 ave pace). Ran strong for about 21-22k but struggled towards the end - feeling very tight in the adductors and glute - glad just to finish. Nice running in the afternoon though.
Sunday - Ran with Andy (out from L.A.) and Ibby for a lap around the Bay. I ran beforehand for a total of 15k in 68 mins. For someone who hasn't run since January because of injury, Andy can still run a lap of the Bay in 32 mins (4.30 pace) without sweating !
Total 120k for the week.
