Catch-up

Wednesday got in a steady 13k in 58 mins (4.30 pace) felt pretty good.

Thursday no run as it was Isabella's 12th Birthday and we had a family night out.

Friday got out for a very easy 5k in 22.40 (4.32 pace) .

Saturday Striders 10k at Homebush. 3k warm-up including some strides. Running pretty well but felt RHS hamstring tightening - went thru 5k in (18.27 on garmin) about 18.35 on watch. Well ahead of P.B. pace but leg really stiffened running thru carpark and I just ground to a halt.
Pulled out as I would never have got round again. A bit dissapointing but shit happens. Leg is not very sore but quite stiff. Don't think there is any structural damage, more a mechanical problem with the right leg compensating for a sore left achilles.

Sunday met up with A.A and Macca - felt alright to begin with - then leg got quite stiff but got no worse so managed to get in 22k without seemingly any damage. Will take it easy this week - just 30-40 minute easy runs and see how the leg goes - I need a break anyway. Good news for A.A with a career move to L.A. Wow ! And Macca heading back to the U.K. for the London Marathon.

Will have to change my running routine soon. Bella and Ally's soccer and netball training has started and comps begin the first week in April - so not sure how I will fit my training in as netball is Saturday and soccer is Sunday , training on Tuesday's and dance classes on Wednesday !

Steve, how awesome for AA! Please give him all our best, won't you.

As for the kids training, games and classes; tell 'em to hang on for 5 more weeks. Daddy's got a game to go to first... :-)
