Early in the week

Monday p.m saw an easy jog over to run club. Tonight the group were doing mini 6ft which is basically 30 mins of fartlek around a 1.25k loop up and down stairs, over grass and along the waterfront at Shores. (I shortened it because no one liked the last bit over an unlit piece of grass but it did give us a nice 1.4k loop). This is a fun session as you can go as hard or easy as you like.
I did 10k all up including warm-up jog.

Tuesday p.m. It's only been the end of daylight savings for one week but already it is quite dark by 6.15. Wanted to run fast so headed to Sydney park oval which has a 500m loop on bitumen and is floodlit and also has a bubbler ! Did 3k warm-up in 12.30 running from home down King st and around the park. Tonights session was 2k, 1k, 500, 500 and 1k.
Splits were 6.52, 3.19, 91 secs, 93 secs, 3.15. Gave myself 2 mins rest between long reps and 60 secs between short ones. A very slow 3k jog home totally stuffed but very satisfied with the effort.
Total 11k all up.
