Easy 40 mins and a win for Bella !

I've changed my program around a bit to incorporate or exclude various sessions that just weren't working or have been overloading the running week.
The major change being the scrapping of the mid-week long run. I decide to replace it with an easy 40 mins. Over the last couple of weeks I have dropped it, my Sunday long run times have improved.
As a runner in my 40's it's obvious I need longer to recover from hard sessions and three in a row was too much. I also want to make Sunday's long run count instead of being a catch-up run with mates.
Hopefully the week should look something like below. It should be a little bit more flexible as well in case I have to swap days around.

M easy 40-60 mins
T Long intervals or fartlek
W steady 60 mins
T Fartlek or short intervals
F easy 30 mins or rest
S Long run or steady hour (or race)
S steady hour or Long run (or race).

Bella ran her school x-c yesterday around a 4k loop of The Bay run. She is only 12 and in year 7 but she won the girls event by a couple of minutes beating kids up to 4 years older. She won herself an unlimited season pass to any NRL game !
