Saturday long run 'round the bay (again)

Saturday seems to work best for me in terms of fitting in my long run - Rest on Friday means the legs are fresh and I can fit the run in before Netball at 9.30 am at Concord. Got out the door about 6.30 am a little later than I wanted to but it was bloody cold this morning. Took about 4k's of running and the sun to come up before I started to warm-up. Got down to the Bay and had almost completed a lap when Cam (and pram/child) and Action came past in the other direction. I swung around and joined them for about 6k's before bumping into Silverfox coming back up the dog canal so said goodbye to the others and headed out for another flat 7k around the Bay with SF (with a promise of a lift home) - how could I refuse, seemed better than the alternative hilly 5k run home.
Got around to Iron Cove Bridge when 'Athlete's foot' came flying past followed by a couple of Wally's in board shorts. Now it's about this time that Bay Boy pride kicks in and following in the tradition of Daz, A.A., Tim, Abel and Macca I put the foot down and Athlete's foot came with me putting in a quickish next kilometre over the Bridge. Got down off the Bridge and the 'foot and I had a bit of a laugh and I waited for SF to catch up before ensuring we kept ahead of the boardshort wearers.

Covered a bit over 27k in 2.05, not bad considering the very slow start.
