Looking for a New year Marathon

This time of year bores me a bit running wise - not many events & too slow to run track races.
I love daylight savings and training over summer but conversely racing in the humidity and heat of Sydney doesn't do much for me.
At this stage, looking to do a marathon in April, probably Canberra. Nick (Silverfox) is keen on cracking 3hrs at Canberra and I would really enjoy running with him there, if I can keep up the enthusiam and remain injury free.

Monday 7pm
10.25k loop in 41.45 (4.03 pace)

Tuesday 6pm
3.5k w/u, 4 x 4 mins off 1min around Sydney Uni, 3.5k c/d - total 12k.

Wednesday 7pm
Ran from home 18k loop around the Bay (middle 8k in 32.20 - 4.02 pace) total time = 77.52 and 4.19 pace.

Thursday 5pm
16.3k Bridge & hills run from work to home in 70 mins. (4.20 pace)

Friday - rest. Ally's 10th birthday at Luna Park - 8 10 year olds, sweets and soft drink equals a long tiring but enjoyable night !

Saturday 8am - missed Striders, too tired and honestly C.B.F.
Ran from home around Glebe waterfront, Pyrmont, Darling Harbour and return 41.59 out and 42.01 back for 84 mins and 19.1k (4.23 pace)

Sunday 6.30am run with Nick 17k Loop in 80 mins.
5pm 36 mins and 8k

Total 100k for the week.

You must be missing your running mate while he holidays up North. Canberra seems like a nice idea.

You're not too slow to run track races 26. Deek and Lisa were snails in 1500s and 3000s yet they still ran them.
